Expertise and Experience
Our Medical Directors are knowledgeable and experienced in hospice care, pain management and symptom control. Medical Directors oversee the interdisciplinary team and collaborate with each patient’s physician to make sure patients are comfortable and experience high quality of life while undergoing hospice care.
Our Hospice Nurse Practitioners and Hospice Nurses have worked in the nursing field for years and have significant experience in hospice care. They are equipped with the skills necessary to monitor pain and manage symptoms that patients often experience. We provide nursing care with guidance from the patient’s attending physician or the Hospice Medical Director, who receives regular updates about each patient’s condition.
The Certified Nursing Aides at Accredited Hospices of Americagive personalized care to each patient. Some work they perform includes grooming, bathing, dressing and feeding patients as needed.
Our licensed, masters-level Social Workers are licensed and have a plethora of knowledge about local counselors, resources, and patient advocacy. They work closely alongside patients and their family members and caregivers to give them various contacts, including resource referrals and family counselors.
Our Chaplains provide patients and their families with spiritual support. They work closely with those the patients to address spiritual concerns that may impact the family unit’s quality of life.
